We got up early and started out walkabout of Prague. Prague was really a mystery to us, and we didn't know what to expect. I had been in the USSR before the fall, and had some notion of what the Soviet block states were like, but it is now years later, and what had the morphed into?

Well, it turns out that Prague has morphed into a lovely city. From what I read, it was the only major city that was never bombed in WW1 or WW2, so the buildings and artwork are really hundreds of years old...not just recent reproductions as many european cities have. The city is situated on a beautiful river, and there is music, artwork, and statues everywhere. This was probably our longest walking day to date, because we just kept coming upon more and more interesting finds. We finished the day exhausted, and decided to extend a couple days more in Prague so we could continue sightseeing. Who knew!
