Following our familial visit in Phoenix, we mosied up to Prescott to visit old friends and pseudo-family Rich and Carol. Carol is the sister of one of my best friends, and she and rich, after a long life together in SanFran, retired out here a couple of years ago. It's kinda wierd to have friends who are actually retired now; with 50 approaching I kind of see some light at the end of the job tunnel.

Prescott was a pleasant contract with Phoenix; instead of 110 degrees, it was "only" in the 90's, and actually a nice sleeping temperature at night. We had an awesome dinner in town, and kathy and I got in a hike at a local "tourist peak". Nice to get out of the heat, and really the first night that I've had a chance to bed down since the bike relay.

"Longing for 110...NOT!" Lumpy out
